Review

Has an excellent introduction by Malcolm Bradbury which provides an intriguing analysis of Herzog. If only the book itself could have lived up to such intrigue...

This is a dire trudge through the everyday monotony of a guy who's imbalanced with life on downward spiral. Nothing in particular happens and personalities, other than that of the central character (who one struggles to care for either way), are not developed.

It's incredibly dull and a chore to get through, with barely a single one of the 300+ pages being of any interest.
