Review

One of the best fiction books I have read in a long time, so good in fact it gets a 10.
The story is of 2 boys growing up in 1970's Afganistan whom are half brothers but don't realise it. One is jealous of the other for affections shown by the father. he loves is half brother in a friend way and also the other boy Hassan is also his servent. When war breaks out in Afganistan one emigrates to America and gets married while the other one stays has a child and is eventually shot by the Taleban. His half brother in America gets a call and makes the trip to Afganistan to rescue hassan's son and atone for his sins toward hassan when he was a child.
