Review

One of the best Lincoln books I've read. McPherson gets to the point without all the extra drama, as demonstrated by the brief, concise 152 pages he took to get his point across. The best chapter was probably the discussion of Lincoln's use of metaphors to convey his thoughts and purposes, titled The Hedgehog and the Foxes. James then uses another metaphor that Lincoln himself would have understood to describe Lincoln and his colleagues and nemesi. I'll leave the definition of this metaphor for you to discover when you read this book. I give it 2 Bookmarks UP!
