A lot of people don't get this book. I'll admit it took me a few tries to get through it. But once I was in the right frame of mind, it got much better. The book is more interesting for what's going on in the characters' minds than what they are actually doing. Sometimes their thoughts don't mirror their words or their actions at all. The Time Passes section is quite brilliant as well.
