Description

In January 2005 ExDRA commissioned the photographer Jason Orton and writer Ken Worpole to produce a book about the distinctive Essex coastline. From February until June 2005, Jason and Ken walked or cycled much of the 350 miles of the Thames, Crouch, Blackwater, Colne estuaries and North Essex coast, and have produced two wonderful linked essays - one in photographs, the other in words - capturing the epic beauty of the coastal paths, seascapes, skies, fields and fortifications, which make the Essex coastal landscape so unique.
